Our professional guide will pick you up at your accommodation in a private vehicle. Together you will embark upon an exciting adventure to discover the most symbolic, representative and beautiful corners of Costa Brava, located in the northeast of Catalonia and bathed by the waves of the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea.
Between visits you will enjoy panoramic views, stopping at several viewpoints to take pictures with the magnificent natural landscape, which blends bright greens with the wonderful turquoise blue of the sea.
Lead by our knowledgeable local guide, you will start your journey through time at the archeological remains of Empúries, a very important old city on the Mediterranean coast. Here you will discover ancient Greek and Roman ruins and learn about how these people once lived. You’ll follow in their footsteps as you explore their city, their streets, houses, temples and markets. Your guide will take you around Sant Martí d’ Empúries, a small town built next to one of the most important ports of the Roman Empire. The place remains a medieval town today, with a conserved wall and narrow, picturesque alleys.
You will then travel from Sant Martí d’Empúries to Estartit, the principal port and one of the most popular diving destinations of Costa Brava, boarding a ship to the Medes Islands. The trip will take around an hour and a half, during which time you will discover the stunning biodiversity of flora and fauna native to this archipelago, known for having one of the best marine reserves of the western Mediterranean.
The Medes Islands is an archipelago of 7 islands, part of the Natural Park of Montgrí. These islands hold the secrets of a fascinating history, as a place where pirates were marooned after surviving shipwrecks at sea.
Finally, you’ll have the chance to dive into the crystalline waters of a hidden cove, surrounded by the magnificent natural landscape of Costa Brava. You will also be able to walk through some of the most representative and charming fishermen’s towns of the region, which combine an ancient tradition with the modernity of today. Explore the labyrinth of narrow streets and corners that hide a very long and rich history.
