In this tour, you will sample the main highlights of Barcelona while in the company of a small group of maximum 8 people and an expert guide. To complete your Barcelona experience, you will be able to enter the crown jewel of Barcelona, the Sagrada Familia skipping the long lines. This tour includes private transportation as well as hotel or accommodation pick-up and drop-off.
This tour is held during the morning on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and during the afternoon every other day.
We’ll start the tour by picking you up from your accommodation before starting a journey by private transport to discover the multifaceted city of Barcelona.
First we will visit Plaça Espanya and Montjuïc mountain. Discover the works from the Universal Exposition of 1929 and the Olympic games of 1992 as you make your way up the mountain. We will stop at the Mirador de l'Alcalde, a beautiful terrace with wonderful views of Barcelona’s iconic skyline offering fantastic photo opportunities.
After taking in the views of Barcelona from the Mirador, we’ll head down the mountain to visit the beautiful seafront of the city before heading to the Gothic Quarter.
We will visit the Old town with a relaxed walking tour, as this is the best way to discover this area without missing any of its secrets. Your guide will take you through its quaint little back streets to find the hidden imprints left by the Roman and medieval city in this world-famous neighborhood.
Afterwards we will head to Plaça Catalunya, the center of the city, before following the Passeig de Gràcia avenue to discover the main examples of Catalan architecture. Here we will discover the works of Domenech i Muntaner, Puig i Cadafalch, and Antoni Gaudí, the three main architects representing the modernism style of building. Take a moment to admire the striking features of their works, including Gaudi’s Casa Batlló and La Pedrera as well as Casa Ametller and Casa Lleo Morera.
Next, we will follow the footsteps of Gaudí and explore the Eixample district. This district was designed by the urban planner Ildefons Cerdà as an expansion of the Old Town. In the Eixample we will find the main highlight of this tour, Gaudí’s crowning achievement, La Sagrada Familia.
