1. Sightseeing at night
Of course, when you come to Barcelona, you want to see all the highlights. And especially a city like Barcelona that has such famous sights. But what if you could bypass busy hours a bit more and just put a twist on it? Then we have the perfect trip. Are you planning to go to the Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell or Casa Batlo? Grab the late hours, starting at 17:00. It is then often quieter and you can enjoy these beautiful views while the sunsets.
2. Cooking class
Barcelona has a Catalan culture. And with this Catalan culture comes typical Catalan food. Tapas, paella and much more can be found in every restaurant. But don’t feel like eating out every day? Take a cooking class! What fun it is to learn how to make your own Spanish food this way. And then eat it together with a nice glass of wine.
3. Wine tasting at Montserrat
Escape the crowds of the city and take a break to the Catalonian countryside. 4. Camp Nou experience
The best way to experience the real Camp Nou experience is to go to an FC Barcelona match. But if this doesn’t work out, you can always book a tour of the stadium. It shows you the field, the players tunnel, the dressing room and it ends in a museum. Very nice, and the tickets are only 26 euros. There is also a biking tour to Camp Nou combined with a tour around Camp Nou.
5. Montjuic cable car to the castle
The Montjuïc cable car has been the most special way to discover the charms of Barcelona for many years. Its 750 meters route allows you to gaze at unparalleled views, culminating your journey in the Montjüic Castle, on the top of a mountain that represents the living history of the city. Enjoy the most emblematic symbols of Barcelona as never before, such as the Sagrada Familia, the Camp Nou or the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc. You will have Barcelona at your feet! 6. Tibidabo Hike
Where you also get a great view, but a bit higher is at Tibidabo. And you can also hike to it. On Google Maps you just find the route. It is convenient to take the metro to the beginning of the mountain, above Gracia. Then you walk up in about an hour (or by cab in 15 minutes). At the top, you have an amusement park, with attractions for children. Up there you will find the church of Tibidabo really beautiful, at the highest point.
7. Bike tour
The best way to see Barcelona fast? Book a bike tour. These tours will show you the highlights and the different neighbourhoods of Barcelona, on a normal or electric bike. 8. Costa Brava
It may be a little more of an undertaking, but of course, you can always take the train to a place outside of Barcelona. For example, Sitges is half an hour from here, but the Costa Brava is also only about 1,5 hours by train. Make it a day trip and enjoy the coastline and the beautiful views of the Costa Brava. Or book a tour to feel the full experience.
9. Carmel Bunkers
Highly recommend having drinks at the end of the day at Carmel el Bunkers. The Bunkers is a place with panoramic views of Barcelona from Spanish Civil War bunkers where anti-aircraft guns were installed. There is no restaurant to be found here, just people enjoying the view with a drink you brought yourself. A tip: get delicious local food at the food market, for example, and bring a bottle of wine with you along with a rug. The view is beautiful for all with the sunset and the vibe is great too.
10. Live music Casa Batllo
More music? How cool if you have a live performance on the roof terrace of the famous Casa Batllo? It can be done! After visiting the famous house designed by Gaudi, you can enjoy it here with a glass of champagne or wine. Tickets can be bought separately and are often sold out.
11. Flamingo show
Something typically Spanish is a flamingo show. And here in Barcelona, there are a few places where you can see that. You buy a ticket in advance, and so you can enjoy an evening of singing and dancing. Highly recommended if you want something different for an evening. 12. Nightlife
If you’re not too hungover after a night of drinking, it’s also an idea to go out. The nightlife here in Barcelona is tremendously vibrant, and in addition to all the big clubs like the Razzmatazz, you also have many nice cocktail bars. Take a look at Passeig del Born for example.
